Firstly, thank you for visiting my website which is designed to showcase my award winning wedding photography and to help you decide if I'm the right photographer to capture your big day!

 

Over the last 10-years, I have met so many incredible couples and been honoured to have been asked to capture so many special weddings across the UK!  Then, after documenting their wedding (and going home on such a high!) - I enjoy bringing their final gallery to life and it always gives me a real thrill when couples comment with excitement when they first see images from their wedding day.

 

I came back from a fantastic wedding yesterday with one guest saying to me in the evening after 10-hours on my feet, 'you actually seem to love doing your job!'.  I absolutely do - and I love to share that passion via my photos as well.

In 2020, 21 and February 2023 I was also awarded the honour of the Welsh Wedding Awards Photographer of the Year title at an awards evening in Cardiff.  I dedicated these awards to my Dad, a brilliant artist who has inspired me so much. 

 

WHAT IS MY STYLE?

​

My favourite style of wedding photography is documentary or also known as reportage style - capturing sharp, vibrant images featuring real memories and natural emotions.  I love a short portrait session on a wedding day - but nothing too staged or that will keep you away from your guests for more than 15-mins! 

I'm also very laid-back - that's just me. Your wedding day isn't 'my show'!  When you hire me to cover your wedding, your investment will ensure that you're booking a photographer who will capture natural memories - but who will also have the experience and energy to guide you through your wedding day with assurance and confidence (without taking centre stage!).

 

Whilst I love stunning portrait shots - I also want you to spend time with your guests, many of whom will have travelled far and spent money to come and see you.  This doesn't limit the quality of images you get - in fact it enhances many of them as the interactions and emotions, laughter and smiles aren't false.

I should mention that I pride myself on the customer care and level of communication that I offer.

I believe that the experience you both have with me is paramount. Get this wrong, and even if the photographs are great...the last thing I want you or your guests remembering is "what a pain that guy doing the photos was!"

 

I always put plenty of thought and preparation into your wedding day as well, visiting new venues and making time to meet or chat with you ahead of the wedding itself - giving you real confidence from the moment of booking until you receive the final images! 

AWAY FROM THE CAMERA

Apart from my photography business, I love to cook and find great places to eat and drink coffee, tinker around with my piano and play pool and snooker. I also love getting out & about with my wife Helena, our Fox Terrier Millie, tending to our  hens (Pepper, Sage & Onion) in the garden, keeping the four cats (Rupert, Dolly, Archie and Jack) all happy, cooking at home, finding great places to eat, going to concerts and taking in cities around Europe.  

 

I also have a season ticket at my favourite football club - and try and get there when I'm not shooting on a Saturday! I won't tell you who that is - just in case it affects a potential booking!! ;-)
