Natalie & Adam's Liverpool Town Hall & Corinthian Grand Wedding
Liverpool Town Hall & the Doubletree Corinthian Grand Hotel, Liverpool - April 2019

Natalie & Adam's wedding was a real highlight of 2019. As you'll see from the gallery that follows, the wedding was set in the heart of Liverpool, my hometown and one of Europe's most decorated and cultured cities - plus, to make it even better, both Natalie & Adam wanted to explore some of the city for their portrait photos too!
The wedding itself was themed around the television series - Games of Thrones. Their set up by the amazing White Events at Liverpool's Doubletree Corinthian Grand Hotel in the heart of the City Centre was breathtaking and even featured two thrones for the married couple to enjoy the wedding breakfast on.
I arrived early at the couples house on the Wirral to capture Natalie's bridal preparations, alongside the wonderful Charlotte Kristina Make Up & Beauty and Wallasey's own Annie J hair stylist. Then, after a short drive through the tunnel to Liverpool, I met up with Adam and the rest of the wedding party outside the impressive Liverpool Town Hall (scene of many iconic Liverpool events & celebrations). On entering the Town Hall, the first thing you are struck with is the impressive red carpeted, marbled staircase leading to the upstairs ceremony room, today decorated by White Events with string music by the Harmony String Quartet.

Following the ceremony and group photographs on the stunning stairs, a family friend with a gorgeous Bentley chauffeured the three of us over to the Baltic Triangle area of town, where I'd previously scouted some really urban feeling locations to match Natalie & Adam's ambitions for dramatic, urban images.
We utilised Paul Curtis' "Liver Bird" artwork (...much to the delight of nearby tourists who got to see a 'real bride"!) before going onto Jamaica Street and using a graffiti backdrop for some really fun and edgy urban shots. I loved this part of the day - as it was a break away from some of the more traditional images and a chance to do something really challenging and different.

Afterwards, on the way back to the reception at the Corinthian Liverpool Grand Hotel - we stopped off back at Exchange Flags at the rear of Liverpool Town Hall for some more shots, with the striking town hall in the background. It was also pretty quiet here - and I wanted to allow Natalie & Adam a few minutes just to go for a walk and take time out without tourists watching them. This also produced some really natural shots of them walking and a few more styled images with the red telephone box!
